Rainforest Seafood Fest for Ash Wednesday

THE second Rainforest Seafood Festival was officially launched yesterday at the company’s Slipe Road, Kingston headquarters.
The event is scheduled for the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex in Montego Bay, St James, on Ash Wednesday, March 5.
General manager of the company, Ernest Grant, said this year’s show will again have a strong entertainment flavour.

On the bill are Tarrus Riley, Busy Signal, Konshens, I-Octane, Etana, Kevin Downswell and John Holt.

Proceeds from the event will go to the We Care For Cornwall Regional Hospital, an initiative launched in 2011 by a group of ‘Montegonians’ concerned about the welfare of the facility which is located in St James.

Over $6 million was raised by organisers from the inaugural Rainforest Seafood Festival. The funds were used to purchase equipment for the Cornwall Regional Hospital paediatric ward.
